Loma Elementary is a kindergarten through fifth grade school attended by 260 students. It is located in beautiful, western Colorado, approximately 12 miles west of Grand Junction, 260 miles west of Denver, Colorado, and 13 miles east of the Utah state line.

THE SCRIP GIFT CARD PROGRAM!
A big THANK YOU to everyone who has placed SCRIP orders. Loma School has earned $442 so far. Not bad!! Sheila Vrooman has City Market cards on hand if you would like just that card. Remember that scrip orders will be made on an ongoing basis. Checks and orders must be turned in by 9:00 a.m. Friday in order that they may be sent home on the following Wednesday with your child. Orders received after 9 a.m. Friday will be held until the following order date. Please make checks payable to Loma Elementary PTA. Enrollment forms must be turned in with tyour first order.

"Scrip" is a fundraising program that works while you shop. Scrip is simply a word that means "substitute money." In other words,scrip is gift cards from national and localretailers. They're the same gift crds that you buy at the store. Many popular retailers participate in our scrip program including: City Market, Wal-Mart, Starbucks, Regal Movie Theater, Chili's, Red Lobster and many, many others.
How do these stores help the PTA raise money for Loma School? It's simple--participating retailers agree to sell gift cards to our school at a discount, member families like your buy the gift cards at face value, and our school keeps the difference as revenue. Scrip is exciting, because everybody wins.
